Dear Bloomingdale Bear Families,
Ba ck to School 2025 – Welcome to Our New Home!
We are thrilled to welcome all of our Bloomingdale families back for the 2025–2026 school year—starting Monday, August 4, 2025—in our brand new school building! This exciting move marks a fresh chapter, and we can’t wait for our students and families to experience all the new opportunities our space will bring.

New Campus Procedures
Carpool
Route
- Enter the back of campus off Pine St.
- Access Pine St from E. Garvin St.
- No access permitted along Pine St between Main St. and Carpool entrance - Buses Only
- No access permitted from Church St.
Rules:
- Follow all directions of Bloomingdale staff
- Have Car Tag clearly displayed in your front window the entire time
- No cellphone usage in carpool
- Do not exit your car
- Students must enter/exit on the passenger side of their car
- Students must not enter/exit a vehicle until directed to do so by a staff member
- Students must be ready to exit the car when the car comes to a complete and final stop for unloading
Pickup Procedures
All Parents must have a Car Tag to pick up in carpool. Dismissal will begin daily at 4:00pm. Cars without a Car Tag will have to pull forward and to the side for a Photo ID check.
Photos of car tags are not valid
Students will be considered LATE at 4:30pm and taken to the front office. Parents must pick up their child at the front office using a car tag or Photo ID. Parents must sign students out when they are Late Carpool
Walkers/Bike Riders
Morning Drop-off
- Students may enter through the front entrance if they are a walker or bike rider
- Students may not come onto campus prior to 8:45am
- Bike riders are responsible for locking up their bikes using a bike rack - the school is not responsible for student bikes
- Bike riders must wear a helmet
Afternoon Pickup
- Walkers and bike riders will be walked to the corner of Main St. and Pine St.
- Students in grades 3 - 5 may walk or bike home on their own
- Students in grades PK - 2nd may walk or bike home with an older Bloomingdale sibling in grades 3 - 5 OR must be picked up by an adult at the drop-off location.
- Individuals picking up walkers/bike riders must show a valid car tag or photo ID.
- Do not park along Main St., another street, or block a neighbor's driveway - Bloomingdale Police may ticket those who do.
- We kindly request that if you are picking up in a car, that you use the carpool procedures
- Students who are routed for a bus either live outside a walkable area or would have to cross a busy street. These students will not be permitted to be dismissed as walkers or bike riders
- Bike riders will not be dismissed with their bike without a helmet. The school is not responsible for bikes left at bike racks overnight.
- Students should be prepared for inclement weather. In the event that the weather is too dangerous, students will either be held until the weather clears, lessens, or will be changed to carpool. A message will be sent if this occurs.
- Students who are not picked up as a walker or bike rider will be returned to school and will need to be picked up as LATE from the front entrance.

Summer Office Hours
Last Day at NHK8
Our last day at NHK8 will be Monday, June 9, 2025. The front office will be closed for the summer from June 10 through July 13, 2025.
Getting Ready for Back to School – Office Reopening Details
The front office will reopen in our new building on Monday, July 14, 2025. As we focus on unpacking and settling in that week, we kindly ask that only those with urgent needs visit the front office between July 14–18. We will be fully ready to support all Back to School needs beginning Monday, July 21, 2025.
Final SY 24-25 Report Cards
Only Available in PowerSchool Parent Portal
Final Report cards for SY24-25 are available in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Final Report cards will not be mailed and can only be accessed through the Parent Portal. These include promotion information and next school indicators.
Parent Portal login and information is available on the district website at sccpss.com under the family tab: Student Information Systems - Savannah-Chatham County Public School System

Note: Pre-K does not receive a report card
21st Century
Grades 2 - 5: Check Back Later for Registration
21st Century is our Afterschool Program for students in grades 2 - 5. The program runs Monday through Friday each day of school starting in September. Students receive a meal every day, complete homework, and have a lot of fun with engaging STEM activities! Be sure to check back to register your child!
Students in Bloomingdale's attendance zone may receive free transportation home from 21st Century.
