I've been a Professional School Counselor for over 20 years!

Chatham County has been my home throughout my career, and I am looking forward to my 9th year at Bloomingdale in 2024/2025.

As a School Counselor I provide support in the classroom, through small group counseling, and individual assistance. The focus is to help our students grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Self-awareness, self-regulation and other interpersonal skills are critical to the development of our kids becoming productive, well-adjusted people.

I LOVE WORKING WITH KIDS to develop those skills!

This year I will primarily be working with 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade students, but I am happy to assist any student as needed. Both counselors will conduct classroom lessons in all classes while our small group and individual counseling will be split up by grade levels. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Greetings Everyone,

Ever wonder if your student is being taught how to make friends? Ever wonder if your student has what he or she needs to resolve conflict resolution? Ever wonder if your student is being introduced to careers? Well, your worries are over!

My name is Ms. Ellis, and I have over 10yrs with working with students from a diverse population. I believe each student has the ability to learn. The best part about my job is interacting with my students and teaching them strategies on how to deal with conflict. When students learn how to solve problems, it makes for a smoother learning environment.

My mission is to make sure each student has a positive cognition surrounding counseling. I plan to engage students with hands-on activities and lessons they can use to resolve conflicts amongst themselves. My plan is to show up, meet the students where they are and find the joy in each day. With help from our families and our community partners, our bears will excel as future leaders.
