Remote Learning Guidance for Families
SCCPSS Remote Learning – November 4, 2025, February 13, 2026, and March 16, 2026
Purpose:
November 4th is a districtwide remote learning day. Students will complete assignments from home while teachers participate in professional learning and instructional planning.
What This Day Looks Like
- There will be no live lessons or virtual meetings.
- Students depending on their assigned grade may complete independent assignments via one of the following methods:

Estimated Time Commitment:
Students should spend no more than 4-5 hours total completing learning activities.
How to Access Assignments
- Online: Students will access their individual online accounts via ClassLink from their district issued personal device.
- Printed Packets: If your student received a paper packet, please ensure they complete and return it to their teacher.
Student Attendance and Participation
To be counted as present:
- Online Learners: Log in to Brightspace or other assigned learning platforms on November 4th, and complete assigned tasks.
- Printed Packets: Return completed packet assignments on November 5th, but no later than November 12th.
- If your student cannot participate due to illness or internet issues, contact your child's teacher to inform them.
Teacher Availability
Teachers will not host live lessons or office hours on November 4th, as they are participating in district training and planning sessions. However, students may email their teachers, and teachers will respond once they are back on campus.
Tips for Families
- Create a quiet workspace at home for your students.
- Set aside dedicated time to complete assignments in small sessions.
- Encourage breaks between activities.
- Ensure your child’s electronic device is charged.
- Check the school’s website and social media platform for updates.
- Return electronic devices and chargers to the school on November 5th.
