Bloomingdale Elementary News

The picture shows 100 books, divided into three stacks. The top has a title that says "We Won 100 Books," and the bottom has the Rally to Read logo, a yellow ribbon that says "Thank You," and the Barnes & Noble logo.

Bloomingdale Elementary has been selected as one of 100 national winners in Reading Is Fundamental’s “Rally to Read 100” sweepstakes. As part of this literacy initiative, the school received 100 brand‑new books donated by Barnes & Noble to support its more than 400 K–5 students. The books will be added to the media center, expanding access to engaging, diverse stories that help foster a love of reading. Bloomingdale Elementary was chosen from thousands of entries submitted by educators nationwide.

The picture shows two stuffed animals: a brown dinosaur on the left and a purple dragon on the right. They are stuffed animals from the Buddy-A-Thon fundraiser.

Bloomingdale Elementary School is celebrating the success of its 2026 “Buddy-A-Thon,” a PTA-led fundraiser that combined student engagement, academic growth, and community impact in a meaningful way.

Through this donation-based initiative, students raised an impressive $20,274, with 50% of the proceeds—$10,137—returned directly to the school.
